    The position is full time and is located at our Norwood location. Job SummaryThe position coordinates, plans and organizes daily maintenance operations for the Norwood healthcare facility. Operations include maintenance, minor repair, deliveries, and overseeing contractor work. The position also involves ordering and stocking of surgical supplies for our outpatient surgery center. The position will be primary facilities oversight and back up materials coordinator.

    Duties and ResponsibilitiesCoordinates and/or performs the maintenance and repair of equipment and physical structures including:
    HVAC, alarm systems, fire abatement systems.

    Coordinates and/or performs maintenance and repair of parking lot including:
    snow removal, salting, sweeping, paving, and striping.

    Coordinates and/or performs the upkeep of grounds including:
    garbage removal, irrigation system, mowing, fertilizing/weed killing, flowerbed planting, and tree trimming.
    Orders and stocks supplies for surgery centerPosition Requirements2 years experience in facilities/building maintenance.
    Must be able to lift and carry items and inventory up to 50 lbs.

    Healthcare experience preferred (familiarity with Life Safety, NFPA, etc.)Thorough knowledge of methods associated with maintenance, repair, and operation of all elements noted above; thorough knowledge of safety regulations, safe work practices and industry best practices.

    Capable of reading, interpreting, and understanding equipment and building specifications, and other technical data related to the efficient operation of the building.

    Maintain detailed and complete records of maintenance and repair activities.
    Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to a wide range of persons.

    Must be able to successfully handle multiple tasks at once, and be able to determine appropriate priorities; must be able to make independent interpretations and make appropriate decisions that are in the best interest of the organization and that are consistent with the objectives of management.

    Must be proficient in the use of business application software, to include spreadsheets, and building operation programs; knowledge of computerized maintenance-management software program.

    Ability and willingness to work evenings and/or weekends; ability and willingness to participate in 24 hour on-call rotation.
