    Job Overview: The Linde On-Site Air Separation Plant Technician role in Knoxville, IA, involves the safe, efficient operation of oxygen and nitrogen plants. This position requires strong technical skills in on-site product lines, along with expertise in instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems. The Plant Technician must show initiative in problem-solving, be self-motivated, and ready to respond promptly when needed. Occasional overnight travel may be necessary for training and plant support. Training sessions on safety and plant operations will be provided to ensure optimal performance.

    Primary Responsibilities:
    • Addressing field site issues and overseeing maintenance and production at the customer site
    • Operating and maintaining assigned plants with minimal supervision
    • Coordinating resources for plant support activities and ensuring compliance with safety regulations
    • Enhancing plant efficiency and assisting in new employee training

    Skills and Abilities:
    • Safety awareness, troubleshooting, and maintenance skills
    • Proficiency in process control systems, Microsoft applications, and communication
    • Time management, self-directed learning, and project management capabilities
    • Understanding of quality controls, analyzers, and procurement processes

    Working Conditions: The role involves driving, office work, walking on various surfaces, lifting duties, tool usage, and a standard workweek, with occasional on-call responsibilities. Accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities as needed.

    Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Associate degree in a technical field preferred
    5 years of Operations experience in areas like air separation, instrumentation, maintenance, and industrial mechanical or electrical work is highly desirable.
