    Summary You will serve as a General Supply Specialist, in the Fleet Support Department, Logistics Support Center Division of NAVSUP FLC SD GF
    Duties


    • You will serve as a Logistics Support Representative interacting with Supply Officers and Senior Shipboard Leadership.
    • You will serve as a focal point for all aspects of shipboard support.
    • You will provide supply, logistics, husbanding, training, and other support for ships and units.
    • You will review analyze and recommend multiple ways to solve material support problems.
    • You will evaluate customers transportation requirements for personnel and materials.
    • You will plan and determine current and future supply requirements for assigned units.
    • You will brief managers and officials concerning issues, problems, proposed solutions and program accomplishments

    Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year General Supply Specialist experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying practical knowledge of a wide range of well-established and commonly applied supply principles, concepts, methodologies, regulations, policies, and instructions related to all aspects of supply and logistical shipboard support including organizing and analyzing varied data to identify and resolve supply and logistic problems associated with providing direct supply support, husbanding issues, public works services and port services for ship support
    Examples may include some or all of the following: 1) Research and/or analyze a variety of supply issues and concerns in order to make decisions that impact ship readiness and material procurement; 2) Provide guidance and support regarding supply/logistics management processes and material procedures in order to support supply, logistics, husbanding, training and support for ships; 3) Analyze and recommend ways to solve material support problems; 4) Analyze plans, work and deployment schedules to recommend multiple ways to solve material support problems; 5) initiate corrective action to eliminate system deficiencies and recommend system change requests.; and 6) provide alternative solutions to ships based on ships areas of concern and difficulties encountered by similar vessel

    Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree.

    or J.D
    that is related to this position being filled
