    Job Summary:


    Manages the day-to-day GAAP accounting functions and assists with STAT financial accounting functions for TMNAS and the business units it supports.

    Trains and mentors staff within the General Accounting team. Responsible for annual projects and project management.

    Essential Job Functions:
    Directs the GAAP accounting policies and practices of TMNAS, and assists with the STAT financial accounting function, including the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes and works closely with internal/external auditors and other financial professionals
    Oversees and evaluates the activities of the General Accounting staff, and provides for their professional development
    Analyzes and solves accounting problems
    Produces accurate and timely financial reports, for internal and external use, in accordance with GAAP and in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
    Develops, implements and maintains financial accounting and reporting internal controls and policies and procedures
    Prepares or directs preparation of reports which summarize and forecast business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earning based on past, present and expected operations
    Builds high performance teams through effectively training, mentoring, delegating, and providing feedback to team members
    Assists in managing and execution of project work for new software, new programs and initiatives, and ensures that the team participates in the completion of both

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred
    7+ years' relevant accounting/finance experience
    Direct team leadership experience (2 Years +) required. Must show proven track record of being able to effectively lead and manage teams, especially in a hybrid work setting
    Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
    Knowledge of processes, methods and tools for creating and maintaining accurate and thorough financial records
    Strong knowledge of accounting concepts and financial reporting requirements
    Knowledge of tools, practices and considerations for updating and validating general ledger data
    Knowledge of organizational politics and political tactics; ability to effectively navigate formal and informal communication and decision-making channels
    Knowledge, insight, and understanding of business concepts and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations
    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and strong knowledge in Microsoft Excel preferred.
    Strong knowledge of SAP preferred
    Strong knowledge of Blackline preferred
    Strong writing and communication skills
    Strong customer service orientation toward Business Units requiring financial consultation (responsive, consultative, collaborative and accurate)
    Demonstrated leadership skills contributing to a positive overall work environment and drive overall success within the organization
    Must be flexible in willing to work with team members in different time zones
    Strong leadership ability; able to work with a group to set its objectives and agenda, generate allegiance to those objectives, and guide and motivate achievement

    Strong people management skills:
    Plan, direct, motivate, supervise, and coordinate work activities of staff

    Strong project management skills:
    Plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of resources, to achieve project objectives and deadlines

    Strong interpersonal relationship building skills:
    able to work with a variety of people and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner
    Strong analytical ability with the capability to determine the root cause of problems and issues and provide solutions
    Strategic thinking; Applies organizational acumen to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization
    Ability to juggle multiple, competing, frequently changing time-sensitive deadlines and priorities
    Ability to work independently and without supervision
    Ability to work and lead effectively as part of a team
    Salary range $90,000 to $105,000. Ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location. Our company offers a competitive benefits package and bonus eligibility on top of base.
