    Description

    WaferWire is currently seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join its innovative team. This role involves implementing and maintaining robust DevOps practices within an Azure cloud environment to ensure smooth deployment and operation of services.

    The responsibilities include using PowerShell scripting to automate tasks, collaborating with teams to troubleshoot issues, monitoring system metrics, and participating in incident response. Key skills required include proficiency in DevOps methodologies on Azure, strong PowerShell scripting abilities, and excellent problem-solving skills. Familiarity with Linux, .NET framework, and Azure services like Synapse, HDInsights, or Databricks is desirable for this position.

    Job Description:

    • Implement and maintain robust DevOps practices within Azure cloud environment to ensure seamless deployment and operation of services.
    • Utilize PowerShell scripting expertise to automate routine tasks, streamline processes, and enhance system reliability.
    • Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize system performance, and ensure high availability of applications.
    • Monitor system metrics, analyze trends, and proactively identify areas for improvement to prevent potential incidents and enhance scalability.
    • Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to incidents, employing troubleshooting skills to resolve issues and minimize service disruptions.

    Required Skills:

    • Proficiency in DevOps methodologies with hands-on experience in Azure cloud platform.
    • Strong command over PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration management tasks.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues efficiently.

    Desired Skills:

    • Familiarity with Linux operating systems and .NET framework.
    • Exposure to Azure services such as Synapse, HDInsights, or Databricks, with the ability to configure and maintain these environments effectively.
