    Description

    Title: Solutions Engineer

    Duration: 12 Months + with potential to extend or possibility to convert

    Location: Fully remote but focusing on local (MA)

    lab work (once a month at the most and potential hybrid in the future)

    Interview process: 2 rounds; 1st with hiring manager and 2nd potentially with a panel

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in technology or information systems or equivalent work experience (preferred)
    • 8+ years of IT experience implementing different Oracle products (required)
    • 5 or more years of ORACLE Xstore & Retail (MOM) Suite experience (required)
    • Expert understanding of Oracle Application Techstack & ORACLE RDBMS (required)
    • Expert understanding in Agile Framework (SAFe) (preferred/plus)
    • Experience using JIRA and Confluence (preferred/plus)
    • Prefer development experience with: Ansible, Azure, Groovy, Maven, Splunk, and AppD (preferred/plus)

    Description:

    We have an opening for a application solution engineer to join our Infrastructure & Operations – Application Hosting Services (AHS) team. Design, installation, configuration, tuning and deployment support of Oracle Xstore, Retail and Merchandise are occurring across our rapidly growing North American, Canadian and Europe divisions.

    You will work within an agile release train (ART) based on the Scalable Agile Framework (SAFe). This role will support Design and Engineering, new installation, deployment and prod support activities of Xstore Suite systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and development skills with respect to Oracle Retail Suite and a track record of success collaborating across a large IT enterprise.

    Job description:

    • Demonstrate a broad understanding of the software development lifecycle within both the SAFe Agile and Waterfall methodologies
    • As a member of the System Team, Develop strong, meaningful relationships throughout the Product ARTs and client's IT shared serves
    • Perform hands on configuration, development and implementation work as needed
    • Demonstrated effectiveness working both independently and within cross functional project teams that span multiple time-zones
    • Should have sound understanding on Xstore Xenvironment and EFTLInk
    • Candidate should have good understanding of Xstore architecture including Lead-Non lead
    • Good understanding of Xstore Office suite
    • Good understanding of Oracle Xstore and Retail suite data model.
    • Good understanding about EOD process and as well store opening process for Xstore POS
    • Experience with Oracle Retail (MOM) and POS (Xstore) implementations
    • Expertise on installing, configuring and troubleshooting complex clustered Oracle Weblogic and Web-Server environment
    • Very well proficient on understanding Java code and identifying the bugs during code reviews and working with product vendors.
    • Perform health checks and proactive monitoring using Oracle Enterprise Manager/Grid Control and UNIX shell scripts
    • Maintain broad knowledge in the area of DevOps tools and capabilities
    • Install & Configure Application techstack High Availability Architecture on EXADATA platform
    • Create and manage Disaster Recovery environment for business continuity
    • Adhere to all business operational controls such as: Sarbanes Oxley, PCI policies, security policies, supportability standards, etc.
    • Application of Security patches released from time to time and Interface with Oracle Support for technical issue resolution
    • Prepare production readiness documentation using Confluence, for implementations of medium to high level of complexity
    • Demonstrated knowledge of performance analysis and tuning of application systems, specifically, Oracle RDBMS, Oracle Retail and POS (Xstore)
    • Demonstrated techniques in troubleshooting issues to resolution, specifically with Oracle RDBMS, Oracle Retail (Xstore)
