    Position Specific Description

    Come join our team and work with a very dynamic Human Resources team We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and customer focused professional, who has a passion for people and the energy industry. The Employee Services team is responsible for providing accurate and timely responses to all employees of NextEra Energy Inc. In this role, you will have a chance to collaborate with the HR Operations team and other areas within HR including benefits, compensation, payroll and HR systems.

    Work Schedule: (Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. EST) occasional overtime may be required. During emergency situations (such as storms), overtime will be required.

    Preferred qualifications for this position include:

    • Experience with an employee case management system, Documentum, success factors, and SAP-HR.

    • Availability to work a flexible scheduled between 7am and 7pm.

    Job Overview


    The Human Resource (HR) Service Specialist I provides guidance for moderate to complex human resources questions and executes moderate to complex human resources transactions. This position will use a case management system to retrieve, create, document and track customer requests.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities

    • Performs moderate to complex tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to benefits, payroll, time entry, leave of absence, onboarding/offboarding, rehires as required for leaders, employees, and HR team members
    • Provides solutions to employees, leaders, HR, legal and external partners for complex issues that impact internal policy and regulatory compliance and recommends process updates to maintain compliance
    • Recommends process updates to maintain compliance
    • Provides coaching and feedback to less experienced team members to ensure process and quality standards are consistently followed
    • Identifies and escalates process inefficiencies and failures
    • Completes audits, subpeonas and requests for information as requested
    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications



    • High School Grad / GED

    • Experience: 3+ years
