Job Title: Budget and Fiscal Analyst

Salary Range: $61,339 - $113,360

Duties and Responsibilities:

Management of budgets for projects and grants.
Preparation of financial reports and projections.
Analysis of program performance measures.
Development of budget amendments and resolutions.
Financial analysis and reporting on department budgets.
Consultation with department representatives on budget matters.
Reviewing personnel requests, contracts, and grants for accuracy.
Providing alternative cost-cutting solutions.
Overseeing fiscal aspects of grants and capital projects.
Presenting financial findings to management.
Preparing various financial reports for management.
Participating in audits and compliance procedures.
Providing support during financial audits.
Performing other necessary duties when required.

Job Specifications:

Knowledge of GAAP, budgetary procedures, and controls.
Understanding of accounting systems and automated applications.
Ability to analyze and audit accounting data and reports.
Proficiency in developing spreadsheets and reports.
Effective teamwork and relationship-building skills.

Physical Requirements:

Position primarily requires sedentary work in an office environment.
Employee should be mostly stationary.

Work Category:

Sedentary work - Mainly sitting and occasional light physical effort.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Public/Business Administration, or related field.
Four years of governmental budgetary/finance experience.
Equivalent education, training, and experience.

Emergency Management Responsibilities:

In case of emergencies, employees may be assigned duties by the department or County's Office of Emergency Management.
