Job Summary
As a
Warehouse Specialist
for The Tailored Closet & PremierGarage of Greater Washington DC, you will be responsible for assisting with the timely and mistake-free receiving and preparation of materials needed for our client jobs which typically include multiple spaces such as closets, pantries, built-ins, offices, and garage cabinetry and storage organization solutions.
They also have a few years of job experience in physical labor, preferably in a related industry, a clear driving record, and willingness for a background check.
The main responsibilities include:
Receive/unload, sort, pick/pull/pack, prep (i.e. cam shelves), wrap, build (build cabinets), quality check (material and against BOMs/orders), stage/load trucks and restock products in a focused, efficient, and careful manner
Move pallets and materials safely onto and off-of racks and throughout warehouse using a forklift, drive company vehicles to pick up products from local suppliers and deliver products to job sites
Perform quality checks, and report damaged or missing products.
Keep job products, stock, tools and equipment organized
Keep warehouse clean and manage daily/weekly refuse and pallet disposal management
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position is in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor and unconditioned exposure during the workday. Location in Chantily, Virginia.
Qualifications
Ideal candidate is driven, highly energetic, detail-oriented, systems/process-oriented and reliable with no drama
Strong communications skills to communicate status and issues succinctly and clearly both written and verbally
Ability to learn and work in a fast-paced environment under a driven, fast-paced manager
Construction know-how and ability to work with plans and spatial considerations is preferred
Pride in helping to keep our warehouse, hardware room and client orders clean and organized.
Valid Driver's License, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
Speak, read and write English fluently

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
This position is very active and requires standing, walking, lifting and moving large boards of materials, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, driving a forklift.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision to review detailed plans and product line-item lists, distance vision, color vision to confirm finish and color, and peripheral vision and depth perception to safely move large pallets using a forklift.
Compensation:
$ $20.00 per hour
