    Description

    This position has responsibility for a variety of manufacturing tasks such as assembly of product components, soldering of connectors, rubber transfer press molding, glass to metal sealing, chemical cleaning, polyurethane molding and more.

    To ensure success in this role you should possess a strong knowledge of product assembly and experience in a similar industry.

    Work cooperatively with all support areas, including all quality assurance functions, to achieve departmental and company objectives.

    Successfully train and become certified to the J-STD 001 (training provided).


    • Follow procedures for soldering connector ends and assembly of connectors and select solder, flux, and cleaning requirements.
    • Crimp contacts to conductors per router, drawing and procedure when applicable.
    • Perform hand soldering of electronic assemblies, components, and systems
    • Read work orders or examine part to determine which parts or sections of products are required to be assembled or produced. Define the product specifications and outline material requirements.
    • Remove or trim excess material from products, using knives, scrappers, or buffing wheels.
    • Place materials into molds and inject materials via pneumatic injection or through transfer press.
    • Spray or brush mold surfaces with parting agents and prime part surfaces with specified agents for promoting material adhesion.
    • Use depth gauges and hand tools to insert and adjust wires/parts while aligning the parts and workpieces for proper assembly.
    • Separate parts from molds and check removed workpieces or products for accuracy.
    • Apply coolants or lubricants to molds and mold parts, and clean workpieces or finished products.
    • Comply with all requirements regarding safety procedures and safety equipment.
    High school diploma or equivalent, associate degree in technical field preferred.


    • Experience with soldering of connectors, how to select solder sizes, flux, and cleaning of solder joints.
    • Experience with termination and assembly of coax products preferred but not necessary.
    • Experience performing soldering under a magnifying glass, is a plus.
    • Ability to read and work from assembly prints, schematics, and procedures.
    • J-STD 001 and IPC A620 certification required (training provided)
    • Demonstrate ability to carry out defined tasks independently with minimum supervision.
    • For the purposes of ITAR regulations, applicants should be US citizens or permanent residents.
    • Ability to work overtime and flexible hours to include weekends on occasion.
