    Job Description

    Selected candidates for the on-site Senior Accountant position will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting assignments under general direction from the Controller. The incumbent will plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation or modification of standard accounting techniques, procedures and practices. The successful candidate devises new approaches to most problems, seeking technical guidance on unusually complex problems. This position offers a strong candidate a good opportunity for upward mobility in the Finance Department in the near future.

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Assists the Controller in ensuring timeliness and accuracy of the financial statements
    • AP, AR, prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
    • Preparation of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting including monthly P&L package, financial quarterly review and monthly operational review
    • Division reporting including daily flex, weekly Lookahead, and other Ad Hoc requests
    • Support SOX reporting and testing process
    • Maintain prepaid insurance, property tax, leases, and other prepaid schedules
    • Track Capital spending and monitor spending for budgeted amounts
    • Special Projects: 1099 Misc Tax Forms
    • Coordinate audit requests with internal and external audit groups
    • Certain balance sheet account reconciliations
    • Prepare monthly revenue recognition and shipment cutoff reconciliations
    • Assist with Intercompany confirmations
    • Perform other duties, as assigned

    Required Skills:

    • Proven analytical, problem solving, and process improvement ability
    • Experience with ERP systems for general accounting and consolidation purposes
    • Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to successfully manage many issues/projects simultaneously
    • Excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with all levels of management
    • Able to work productively and independently
    • Previous public accounting experience with manufacturing clients is a plus
    • SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) reporting experience is preferred
    • Demonstrated understanding and application of U.S. GAAP
    • Strong excel skills

    Experience & Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
    • 5 years accounting experience
    • Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
