    Description

    Our client in the legal field is seeking a Paralegal to join their team Reporting directly to the Director of Legal, the Real Estate Paralegal will play a crucial role in supporting our legal operations. The Legal Department, led by our Director of Legal, is dedicated to ensuring compliance, mitigating risk, and facilitating the company's strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate for this role will be resourceful, innovative, and proactive, possessing a positive problem-solving mindset and a "can-do" attitude. Exceptional communication skills and strong project management capabilities are essential for success in this position. This position is hybrid and based out of the New York office.

    • Salary: $80,000 - $90, % bonus

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist the Director of Legal with special legal, real estate or corporate compliance projects
    • Draft and review LOIs, options, leases, purchase agreements, easements, access agreements, etc.
    • Manage recording process in New York including confirming recording requirements, drafting memo's, drafting recording documents (TP-584s), securing wet signatures and filing recording receipts
    • Review title reports and carry out title curatives
    • Assist with project company formation, annual corporate compliance and NDAs
    • Communicate and coordinate with Project Development and Development Operations Departments to streamline real estate deliverables

    Required Qualifications:

    • Real Estate Paralegal Experience
    • Ideally 4+ years exp
    • Passion for Renewable energy
    • Number 1 thing early stage title work- reviewing title reports. Moving things proformas- so must have Demonstrated exp w title
    • Purchase, sale of land agreements
    • 5-6 years of experience supporting a real estate practice group
    • Extensive title and survey experience
    • Experience drafting site control agreements such as leases, purchase options, easements, crossing agreements etc.
    • Experience forming entities and drafting basic entity organizational documents;
    • Strong oral and written communication
    • Attention to detail
    • Paralegal experience in New York required
    • Renewable energy experience is a plus; and
    • Experience in Illinois is a plus
    • College degree and/or a paralegal certificate
