    About the Position:
    This Procurement Coordinator position is assigned to the Program Executive Office Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensors in the Business Management Division of Project Director Sensors
    • Aerial Intelligence, located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
    Responsibilities Explore new or innovative contracting approaches to arrive at an equitable contract arrangement.

    Serve as an expert and provides advice, guidance, and assistance in relation to acquisition planning and contractual/procurement aspects for automated information systems for highly complex major weapon systems.

    Apply procurement principles and technical or program requirements to ensure the acquisition and milestone documentation are reflected and are integrated into the resulting contracting and procurement actions.

    Input contract data and voucher information into automated databases. Advises the Project/Product Manage (PM) on the preparation of Source Selection Evaluation Plans, evaluation criteria, and weighting methodologies.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

    You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

    Experience for the NH02:
    Three years of progressively responsible general work experience with one year of that experience equivalent to the NH-01 or GS-04 grade level, which includes: 1)Experience identifying and resolving problems in specifications and/or performance work statements; 2) Experience assisting allocating funds to ensure financial obligations are authorized and met; and 3) Experience interpreting procurement policy, regulations, and guidelines.

    OR Successfully completed four years of education above the high school level leading to a bachelor's degree obtained from an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.

OR Have the specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and I have some education above the high school level but less than required in B. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.).

    This is a DoD Demonstration Project position.

    Under the Defense Authorization Act, personnel management demonstration programs are operating in numerous Army activities and various other organizations supported by Army civilian personnel centers.

    Under the streamlined personnel operations for demonstration projects, the familiar 15 General Schedule grade structure is replaced with broad pay bands that typically encompass a range of grades.

    For example, acquisition jobs in level NH-II of broad banding encompass the traditional GS-05 through GS-11 grades. Other initiatives under the demonstration projects include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process, and expanded developmental opportunities.
