QA Tester

Jersey City, NJ 3 days onsite

$ $ % bonus + pension

70% Business 30% Testing

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with a strong background in user testing, particularly utilizing Selenium, to join our dynamic team. As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products by conducting thorough user testing and analysis. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design test cases, execute tests, and analyze results to identify areas for improvement. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of software development processes, strong analytical skills, and extensive experience in utilizing Selenium for automated testing.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for software features and enhancements.
Design and develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for user testing, utilizing Selenium and other testing tools as needed.
Execute test cases and conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate software functionality, usability, and performance.
Identify and report software defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement, and work closely with development teams to address issues.
Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to stakeholders, including recommendations for product enhancements and optimizations.
Document test processes, results, and findings in clear and concise reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging trends, and advancements in software testing methodologies and tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, product managers, and quality assurance professionals, to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing software development processes, testing methodologies, and team collaboration.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, with a focus on user testing and quality assurance.
Strong proficiency in automated testing tools, particularly Selenium, for web application testing.
Experience with Agile methodologies and working in Agile development environments.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and troubleshoot software defects.
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with software testing best practices, industry standards, and compliance requirements.
