    We're a curated nonalcoholic bottle shop and discovery platform built around one simple concept:
    It's fun to be good to yourself.

    Since launching in July 2022, we've built a mission-driven brand with growing momentum and a thriving community. We're looking for

    a charismatic, results-driven Retail Associate to support the success of our new retail store in San Francisco.


    What we do:
    We help people access, discover, and understand alcohol alternatives and how they can fit into their lifestyles. We're not here to judge.

    We're here to provide products, tools, and information to help people be more mindful, intentional, and healthy about the way they drink - whatever that means to them.

    We're a small, but mighty team. We're deeply passionate about our work and think creatively to break societal norms. We believe in meeting people where they are at and making behavioral changes accessible to everyone.


    The Role:


    As The New Bar's Retail Associate, you'll play a vital and pivotal role in building and nurturing a thriving community around our mission.

    Our retail associates serve as guides for our customers and advocates for The New Bar brand.

    You'll be responsible for driving consultative sales and ensuring our customers have the best experience each time they visit our store.

    This is a part-time, in-person position at our Cow Hollow store opening 5/4/2024.


    Core Responsibilities:
    Greet, guide, and walk customers through the sales process
    Stay up to date on all new products that hit our shelves
    Be well versed in the similarities, differences, and nuances of our products
    Work holiday + weekends shifts
    Complete daily restocking and support inventory management practices
    Restock shelves and fridge as needed
    Perform opening + closing protocol
    Attend monthly team meetings/trainings

    Perform light cleaning duties:
    sweep the floors, wipe the countertops, and maintain the hygiene and ambiance of the store


    Qualifications:

    Skills and Abilities:


    Your communication skills are unmatched and coupled with a natural curiosity, a drive to learn, and an eagerness to educate.

    You have experience in retail, food & beverage, or wellness.
    You're available to work on weekends and holidays
    You're able to lift approx pounds
    You aren't afraid of hard work and are ready to get your hands dirty
    You're not afraid to bring ideas to the table to elevate the consumer experience; you are always on the lookout for opportunities to improve
    You're an effective salesperson and an active listener
    You have a passion for nonalcoholic beverages and promoting accessible, positive lifestyle changes.
