    Job Summary

    The laboratory of Dr.

    Lance Johnson is seeking a laboratory technician to assist with experiments related to the study of Apolipoprotein E (APOE), the strongest genetic risk factor for late onset Alzheimer's disease.


    Research duties will include, but are not limited to, in vitro experiments, in vivo mouse studies, mass-spec based metabolomics and lipidomics, biochemical and immunohistochemical analyses, and molecular biology.


    The successful applicant will be expected to be highly organized, able to demonstrate the ability to generate experimental data, to have strong writing and communication skills, and to be a team player.

    Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

    Basic computer and laboratory skills, English proficiency, being able to understand and apply both verbal and written directions.

    Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience

    Preferred Bachelor's degree in a related field (science preferred) and research laboratory experience.
