    Duties


    • Directly assists the commander/director in the management of all administrative support program functions.
    • Responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and deposition of required administrative reports and other correspondence.
    • Administers programs and serves as the primary source of information.
    • Acts as the point of contact for all newly assigned personnel.
    • Serves as the resident subject matter expert for all mandated administrative support programs.
    • Attends required training, meetings, and functions as related to the prescribed unit programs.
    • Serves as a unit liaison to the military and civilian personnel offices

    Specialized Experience:
    Must demonstrate experience in auditing forms to ensure that forms are current and valid; maintaining and managing an executive staff calendar; interacting with civilian and military staff; utilizing a variety of automation systems to conduct tasks such as travel or time and attendance; and using Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to create and develop reports and correspondences
    This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05)

    OR Education:
    A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration
    OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%
    To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12
    Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9
    Add the two percentages
    You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

    Grade Requirement:
    Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05)

    If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.
