    Champion Controls, Inc., an established control systems integrator and control panel manufacturer is seeking an Engineer/Estimator to join our Business Development group in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

    Competitive salary, based on candidate experience, and a solid benefits package available.

    Responsibilities:

    • Utilize technical knowledge and experience to prepare cost estimates for process instrumentation, electrical and control systems to be manufactured by Champion Controls
    • Work with our engineers and business development groups in a collaborative environment to develop proposals/bids for new projects
    • Review professionally engineered electrical and control drawings and specifications and generate technical proposals
    • Visit job sites and meet with owners & contractors to confirm project requirements
    • Investigate electrical and plant automation equipment products and select the best solutions to offer our clients
    • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve best value selections for the company
    • Represent our company at industry trade shows as required

    Qualified Candidate will possess the following:

    • B.S. in Engineering
    • 1-3 years of experience with electrical or control systems
    • Knowledge of electrical and controls standards
    • Experience requesting quotes from vendors and equipment suppliers
    • Experience preparing scope of work documents and generating winning proposals/bids
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office software suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English required)
    • Excels at producing quality work in a fast-paced environment
    • Team oriented person, able to undertake tasks and work unsupervised
