- Conduct periodic physical measurements of product using devices such as scales, verniers, dial indicators, calipers, electronic indicators, pressure sensing instruments, and other more complex instruments, both mechanical and electronic.
- Manipulate and transmit data, and prepare unbiased graphical analysis of tested samples, utilizing computer software programs.
- Review proposed test procedures.
- Participate in studies to verify measurement processes and continuously improve turn around time, precision and accuracy.
- Ensure the integrity of the retained physical sample filing system.
- Create spreadsheets and data collection programs to simplify the dissemination of information accumulated in laboratory testing.
- Maintain necessary files, records, and computer databases of historical information.
- Perform other tasks as required.
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Prior work or studies in Engineering and/or Manufacturing preferred.
- Strong initiative with good written and verbal communication, and basic math skills.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve practical problems.
- Solid time management skills and ability to prioritize workloads.
- Ability to observe processes and product as manufactured.
- Advanced PC skills including experience with MS Office Suite (strong Excel skills required).
- Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work and contribute as part of a team.

OMG Roofing Products is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of value-added components for the commercial roofing industry. The FastenMaster Division manufactures and markets innovative, premium quality wood-to-wood fasteners that are engineered to enable professional contractors to complete building projects safer, faster, and easier.
