    Position Summary:


    Reporting to the Administrative Director, this position is responsible for planning, coordinating and providing high quality, individualized patient care using the components of the nursing process.


    • Demonstrates knowledge of age specific care, including but not limited to, identifying the need for additional safety measures, physiological normal values/readings; and assessing skin integrity, behavior, motor skills and/or activities that place patients at risk as well as communicates effectively in a clear, concise, understandable manner.

    Applicable for the populations checked:
    Adult (x) Geriatric (x).

    • Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, and adjusts nursing care interventions appropriately to ensure optimal patient care.
    • Knowledgably administers medications per protocol/policy, observing and documenting patient's response.
    • Assess patients' conditions and develops and updates individual plans of care
    • Monitors physiological, cognitive status of patients and timely report changes to physicians and/or other appropriate personnel, includes follow-up on lab/test results.
    • Documents in a clear, complete, legible, organized and timely manner, demonstrating critical thinking skill in the nursing process.
    • Maintains current competencies and skill levels required for work/specialty area.
    • Participates in quality and performance improvement programs


    Qualifications:


    Minimum Education:

    • Graduate of RN Training Program
    • Completion of a basic EKG course

    Preferred Education:

    • Prefer Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
    Minimum Work Experience and

    Qualifications:


    • Minimum one (1) year recent experience in an acute care setting preferred.
    • One (1) year experience in ICU setting preferred.
    • Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
    • Must be able to work in a union environment.

    Required Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation:

    • Current California RN license
    • AHA BLS
    • AHA ACLS
    • NIHSS Stroke Certification
    • LA County Fire Card
    • EKG Dysthymia Interpretation Course
    Estimated hourly pay for this position is $47.59 to $76.38. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, referral bonus, other bonuses, etc.

    Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
