- Responsible for costing out Company products. This involves entering products sold to customers into the accounting system based on standard costs, allocating inventory within the system to appropriate cost accounts.
- Prepares and processes product cost journals and computer postings for month-end closing.
- Assists in month-end closing procedures by running various reports and analyzing/reconciling assigned accounts.
- Review standard and actual costs variances and determine inaccuracies.
- Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Maintain records of capital assets, calculate and track amortization.
- Tracks inventory and inventory procedures on a monthly and yearly basis to be sure proper procedures are being followed.
- Calculates and applies commissions for sales representatives and service technicians.
- Prepares financial reports for assigned accounts and distributes as requested for management.
- Processes Company invoices to customers and assists with Accounts Receivable as directed.
- Annually creates P&L Budget, Capital Asset Budget and Summary Inventory Budget for management.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, Accountant or similar role.
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
- Computer literacy and the ability to learn new programs.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills.
- Integrity, with the ability to handle confidential information.
- Previous experience working with military contracts.
- Working knowledge of Acumatica Software or other ERP systems.
