- Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
- Verify that all deli products meet quality and safety standards.
- Work with suppliers to select high-quality deli products.
- Oversee the preparation of deli items, including sandwiches, salads, and hot foods.
- Present deli products attractively and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and special requests professionally.
- Set and achieve sales targets.
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to maximize profitability.
- Conduct regular safety training for deli staff.
- Oversee cleaning and maintenance of deli equipment and work areas.
- Monitor expenses, control waste, and optimize cost effectiveness.
- Communicate with store management regarding inventory, sales, and issues within the department.
- Adhere to company safety standards.
- Perform other duties assigned by leadership.
- Ability to work in varying temperature-controlled environments.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Preferred: One (1) year of deli management experience or deli sales experience.
- ServeSafe certification or comparable.
- Physical abilities: Lift up to 80-85lbs, stand, bend, lift, and twist for up to 90% of your shift.
- Strong communication skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders.
- Organizational skills: Ability to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner and prioritize tasks.
