ZimZee Recruiting is seeking a Helpdesk Specialist with our Manufacturing client in Provo, Utah. We're looking for someone with good experience installing and configuring computers, terminals, printers and phones.

The specialist will also respond to users who have technical issues with equipment, and will also install software on computers.

Requirements & Skills:

• 2-year degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in each of the following:
  • Troubleshoot hardware/network problems
• • Build/install OS on PCs
  • Microsoft Office, Windows Operating Systems, Hardware and Printers
  • Configure end-user equipment
  • Install phones and handle phone system configuration for end-users
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Responsibilities:

• Run new cables when necessary
• Reconfigure data connections as employees change work areas
• Collect user data over the telephone or via the computer
• Communicate status of issues with users.
• Perform follow-ups on issue with technical people and users
• Resolve issues related to windows errors, lotus notes/same time issues, VPN connection problems, reset citrix users, k95 anterm connections, mapping network drives, password changes, install software, basic printer knowledge, etc.
• Help write procedural documentation and new policies when needed
