- Provides or evaluates direct nursing care.
- Develops, implements and/or reviews nursing care plans.

The Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) seeksto increase the number of applicants for clinical nursing positions by offeringa recruitment incentive to eligible Advanced Practice Nurse, Nurse Consultant,Nursing Supervisor, Compliance Nurse, Registered Nurse, Licensed PracticalNurse, and Certified Nursing Assistant candidates in accordance with the DHSSRecruitment and Referral
Incentive Program.
The program provides incentivesas follows:
·Recruitment incentives will bepaid in quarterly installments over the first year of hire and will begin afterthe first quarter of employment. New employees accepting this recruitment bonusmust commit to two consecutive years of employment with DHSS. You must bea new employee to the state to be eligible for this incentive.
·Referral bonuses of $1,000 areavailable to current DHSS employees who refer new hires to the state in thefollowing classifications: Advanced Practice Nurse, Nurse Consultant, NursingSupervisor, Compliance Nurse, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, andCertified Nursing Assistant. Referral bonuses of $1,000 will be paid inquarterly installments over the first year of hire of the referred applicant.
NOTE: This program isadministered by the Department of Health and Social Services. The programmay be terminated by the State at any time.
Summary Statement
A Registered Nurse is responsible for all required nursing care on their assigned shift and unit, in accordance with state and federal guidelines. This includes ongoing assessment of clients, recovery care planning, on-going evaluation of all care provided, documentation, medication administration, wound care, and respiratory treatments. The RN will assign and supervise their staff according to staffing requirements and acuity, respond to psychiatric and medical emergencies, and conduct a variety of therapeutic groups. As an active member of the interdisciplinary recovery team, the RN works closely with clients' families, community providers, and all support service departments at DPC. The RN role models client centered care initiatives to their staff, based on DPC's mission and vision.Essential Functions
