    Job Description

Certified Recovery Specialist: Lead Peer Coach

    WHO WE ARE:

Manifesto Health (MH) is a substance use recovery support service providing on-demand peer support, recovery coaching, and peer-led care navigation via an interactive mobile app and in-person services.

Our employee assistance services improve long-term outcomes and reduce costs with hands-on care management that is accessible, affordable, and effective.

We are people helping people, scaled by technology, supervised by clinicians, and integrated with wider systems of care.

    POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Lead Peer Coach to join a direct care team of Certified Recovery Specialists (CRSs). The ideal candidate will hold a recovery specialist certification, or obtain one within three months of hire, have a minimum of 2 years of sustained recovery, and a minimum of 2 years of direct care experience in the behavioral health field. The Lead Peer Coach will play a crucial role in leading outreach efforts, providing hands-on recovery support sessions and care management, and ensuring effective care navigation and coordination with treatment providers for individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health issues.

MH's Certified Recovery Specialists (CRSs) engage, inspire, and facilitate meaningful recovery support services. They assist and encourage clients to explore, create, and meet their own recovery goals. CRSs promote and reinforce Manifesto's recovery-oriented and purpose-driven culture in which each client's unique values are recognized, understood, respected, and integrated into services and programming. Additionally, our CRSs provide in-the-moment support and respond to critical situations with high-touch engagement and de-escalation skills which support a least restrictive environment for individuals experiencing difficulties or crises related to a mental health/addiction challenge.

A CRS is a trained professional with success in their own recovery also referred to as "lived experience." Because of their lived experience, such persons have expertise that professional training cannot replicate. The CRS has experienced significant recovery that qualifies their ability to provide peer support services. CRS offers peer support to individuals who have similar life experiences and acts as a positive role model, mentor, advocator, and motivator. The Lead Peer Coach is a member of MH's interdisciplinary team and participates in the development of personal recovery plans with an emphasis on sustainable, long-term recovery and professional development. They will report to and be directly supervised by MH's Clinical Team and Clinical Director.
