Main Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and ensuring the safety of vehicles for our customers
• Utilizing Penske's tools and technologies for repair logging, research, and completion, including basic vehicle diagnostics
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks such as tire replacements, rotations, lubrication, and component replacements, in addition to handling some electrical system repairs and cooling system maintenance for both gas and diesel engine vehicles
• Collaborating with your manager to acquire new skills through Penske's technician training and hands-on guidance
• Engaging in other assigned projects and tasks under the supervision of your manager

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair is a plus
• Basic mechanical aptitude with 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
• Valid driver's license
• Problem-solving skills and comfort in using tools
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Capability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
• Basic computer proficiency
• Adherence to specific guidelines set by Penske management
• Capacity to perform all work following safety regulations and policies
• Regular and punctual attendance is crucial
• Willingness to work as per the required schedule and location, complete employment formalities, undergo background checks, drug screenings, and physical assessments as mandated by regulations
• Promoting safety awareness and maintaining a safe working environment

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent movement, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods
• Regular use of hands for grasping, reaching, handling tools, and controls
• Ability to work at heights, in various weather conditions, and around large vehicles
• Good visual and auditory abilities to navigate work environments safely
• Capability to lift and move heavy objects as necessary

Salary: $22.50 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday

Shift Differentials:

• Second shift starting times after 11 am qualify for a $2.00 per hour shift differential
• Third shift starting times after 9 pm qualify for a $3.00 per hour shift differential
