    Job Description

    Full Time Dispensing Nurse LPN/LVN MedMark Treatment Center is seeking a meticulous and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse to distribute prescribed medications as part of a collaborative treatment team alongside Physicians and Nursing Supervisors. The dispensing nurse will also be responsible for maintaining dispensing equipment, managing medication inventory, and documenting patient treatment details. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who works effectively with counseling staff, showing a non-judgmental and supportive approach towards individuals with Substance Use Disorder.

    Responsibilities:

    • Administer daily medication to patients following program policies and medical guidelines.
    • Operate automated dispensing system(s), calibrate pumps, and upkeep dispensing equipment.
    • Create and manage necessary records and reports in line with Company procedures, Federal, and State regulations.
    • Ensure adherence to security protocols for the distribution and storage of controlled substances as outlined in Federal regulations.
    • Manage medication orders, deliveries, and stocks as per DEA and State requirements.
    • Conduct daily patient assessments.
    • Assist Nursing Supervisor in onboarding new nursing staff.
    • Perform other relevant tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

    Qualifications:

    • Active and valid LPN/LVN license in Texas.
    • CPR certification up to date.
    • Proficiency in EMR and computer usage is desirable.
    • Prior experience in chemical dependency is a plus, along with being self-motivated and having a positive approach towards individuals undergoing substance abuse treatment.
    • Clear drug screening and clean criminal background check.
