    Responsibilities:

    1. Data Exploration and Analysis: Lead the exploration and analysis of large, complex datasets to uncover actionable insights and identify opportunities for optimization.
    2. Model Development: Develop advanced machine learning models and algorithms to address business challenges, such as customer segmentation, risk assessment, and fraud detection.
    3. Prototype Development: Rapidly prototype and iterate on data-driven solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
    4. Model Deployment: Collaborate with software engineers to deploy models into production environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
    5. Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor model performance and iterate on methodologies to improve predictive accuracy and efficiency.
    6. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across the organization, including product managers, engineers, and executives, to align data science initiatives with strategic objectives.
    7. Mentorship and Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the data science team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
    Qualifications:
    1. Advanced Degree: Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
    2. Experience: 5+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on machine learning, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis.
    3. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Python, as well as experience with libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and pandas.
    4. Startup Experience: Demonstrated experience working in a startup or small-scale company environment, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
    5. Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    1. Financial Services Experience: Previous experience working in the fintech or financial services industry, with knowledge of financial products, markets, and regulations.
    2. Cloud Computing: Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including knowledge of services such as AWS SageMaker or Google Cloud AI Platform.
    3. Big Data Technologies: Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka, as well as experience working with large-scale distributed systems.
