- Performs general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.
- Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
- Maintains the general ledger.
- Oversees the coding and allocation of invoices, set up of new accounts, reconciliation of accounts, and closes the monthly books.
- Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
- Reviews monthly cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manages accounts receivable collections.
- Verifies invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged and allocated to the appropriate accounts.
- Assists with preparation of annual operating budgets, reports for grantee Governmental agencies and other miscellaneous projects.
- Tracks and monitor grants and spenddown activity
- Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
- Coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software systems; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
- Manages the purchasing and invoicing activities.
- Investigate and resolve accounting issues as necessary.
- Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
- Knowledge of Federal grants management policies and procedures

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and various accounting software.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, or related field, required.
- At least five years of general and grant accounting related experience required.
