- Analyze disease processes with the use of ultrasound through the selection of appropriate procedures and techniques.
- Coordinate past and present medical history of patient in reference to ultrasound examination.
- Schedule and instruct the patient in reference to ultrasound.
- Review current imaging techniques and interpretations to assure current information.
- Furnish occasional immediate results to appropriate medical personnel derived from ultrasound procedure.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and quality assurance.
- Provide assistance and guidance to sonography students completing clinical experience in department.
- Assist Radiologists and other physicians in the performance of interventional procedures.
- Demonstrates knowledge and maintains and respects patient right to privacy by following the HIPAA Privacy and Security policies and procedures.

- Minimum of one year working in a PACS environment.
- Previous ultrasound experience. Education
- Associates Degree in Sonography.
- Must be certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in abdomen, Ob/Gyn, vascular, and MSK or by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Sonography (ARRT((S).
- Must be CPR certified. Minimum of AHA Heart Saver certification or BLS required. Specialized Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to perform requested procedures in a portable environment as needed.
- Ability to perform physical requirements (visual and auditory) of the job.
- Must be able to take on-call responsibilities, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work at multiple locations.

- Ability to effectively communicate with physicians.
