    One of my best clients is experiencing strong growth and searching for a Field Service Technician.

    A bit about the company:

    They are an over 50-year stable global leader in their healthcare/retail automation niche. Their machines prove to be exceptionally reliable, user-friendly, and safe. Also recognized for superior service, they are a market leader in the evolution of specialized automation.

    Its an entry level role Mechanical competency is a premium here. General experience with things like conveyors, motors and sensors that tell them to start and stop is what we need.

    Field Service Technicians act as first responders by keeping machines up and running, allowing pharmacists, doctors, and nurses to promote essential patient safety and care. Field Service Engineers install machines and perform preventive maintenance, emergency and on-call service, and operational maintenance.

    Responsibilities of the Field Service Technician:

    • Installing and doing pm for new machines.
    • Troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and calibrating robotic machines based on schematics and blueprints.
    • Providing customer service support and follow-up by phone.
    • Wiring, soldering, desoldering, reworking on PCBs and the machine.
    • Networking and IP address problem-solving. Calibrating the whole machine by controller
    • Upgrading/updating software and hardware of robotic machines and PCs.
    • Calibrating sensors, amplifiers, and robots' movements by the controller and inching board.
    • Wire harness cabling, and wiring when needed.
    • Electromechanical and electric troubleshooting and replacing of servo motors, gears, conveyors, rails, and all electromechanical or mechanical parts related to robotic machines.
    • Inspecting the wiring, connections, PCBs and electromechanical parts, servo motors, conveyors, rails, and robots.

    Eligibility Requirements of the Field Service Technician:

    • Must be willing to travel 50 to 70% or more of the time for technical and training purposes. Company vehicles are available; if it's over 50 miles, all flights and hotel accommodations are handled by their in-house travel agent. Must have a valid driver's license and an excellent driving record.

    Benefits for the Field Service Engineer:

    Consistent overtime of 15-20 hours with much of that getting paid to travel On call is shared less than one weekend a month.
