    Description

    Summary:


    You will serve as a Supervisory Contract Specialist in the USMC, Marine Corps System Command of MARCORSYSCOM leading a team of approximately 5 to 12 contract specialists in cradle to grave contract actions supporting highly complex multi-year acquisition of major systems.


    Responsibilities:


    You will analyze, evaluate, and review proposed and on-going procurement and cost and pricing data for highly complex multi-year acquisition of major systems.

    You will develop and present convincing oral/written presentations to all levels of government and industry.

    You will serve on a variety of high-level boards and committees including representation and/or liaison with DoD/DON/MC.

    You will conduct presentations and briefings at the DoD/DON/MC and Command levels as a recognized authority.


    You will serve as a first-level supervisor leading a team of contract specialists and other professional, technical, or support staff.

    Qualifications:


    In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.


    Specialized experience must demonstrate planning, directing, and coordinating contractual and procurement policy actions involved in supporting sophisticated and technologically advanced systems acquisition programs to ensure that mission responsibilities of the command are achieved.

    Applicant must meet the following Department of Defense qualification requirements for 1102 contracting positions:

    DoD Qualification Standard for GS-1102

    Title 10 requirements


    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).


    Education:
    Applicants must meet the following Basic Education Requirement of the Department of Defense Qualification Standard for

    Contracting Positions:
    A bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees.


    Additional Information:
    This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL if determined Well Qualified (WQ).


    This is a Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) position in the NH-04 broadband with an advertised pay range from the lowest equivalent GS 14 grade Step 1 to the highest equivalent GS 15 grade step 10 in the broadband.


    However, this position is covered by a salary control point within the NH-04 broad band, and the salary range is $139,395 to $191,900.

    If your current salary is above this amount, your salary 'may' be matched.


    A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.

    To be considered well-qualified and exercise selection priority as an ICTAP candidate, displaced Federal employees must satisfy all qualification requirements for the position and receive a rating in the highly qualified category (score 85) or higher.
