- Perform intake of initial patient referral received including but not limited to the collection and data entry of patient demographics, prescriber, medical therapy, insurance, and financial information.
- Creates new patient accounts within appropriate systems in a timely manner.
- Files incoming documents accurately corresponding to patient chart.
- Reviews referrals for completeness and follows up for additional information if necessary.
- Assigns escalated referrals to staff as appropriate.
- Responds to incoming correspondence and follows established processes, meets quality and production standards.
- Contacts appropriate parties as needed to obtain demographic information or related data.
- Enters referrals, documents communications and actions in system.
- 1 year of Pharmacy experience highly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Prior data entry experience (45 wpm).

Pharmacy Intake Specialist I
Location: 1831 CHESTNUT ST, ST LOUIS, MO
This role will require you to work in the office full time. You must reside within 50 miles or 1 hour of this location.
Available Shift:
Monday - Friday 10 AM -7 PM CST
The Pharmacy Intake Specialist I is responsible for providing support to an admissions team to facilitate the administrative components of pharmacy referrals.

Requires HS diploma or GED and a minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume, interactive customer service or call center environment; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
