REPORT TO:
Clinical Practice Manager, Primary Care, Pediatrics and Binocular Vision
This position is responsible for managing the daily clinical operations and community outreach/referral management.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
80% of time will be spent performing the following functions
Manages daily operations of the designated service units
Responsible for operation compliance for clinical scheduling, Insurance eligibility, billing and coding, material management of the designated service units
Manages clinic schedule administration, reserve schedule update and adjustment
Provides support and initial problem resolution on behalf of patients, families, attending staff, students, departments in resolving day to day operational issues
Acts as liaison between support staff, Clinical Manager, and Service Chief
Serves as primary resource in managing day to day clinical operation process and resolving operational issues
Serves as Role Model for CSA's daily operations, attendance, customer service
Responsible for CSAs' daily activity review to ensure integrity of the work
Seeks feedback on services from customers and department staff, integrating ideas and suggestions
Responsible for equipment clean up, turn off, report dysfunction to Biomedical Service
Maintains inventory of pharmaceuticals, surgical supplies and other materials utilized within the Services
Maintains communication with pharmaceutical and equipment representatives/companies
20% of time will be spent performing the following functions
Acts as key moderator and liaison for IEI Community Outreach and Outreach Events
Participates in ICO sponsored events and meets with community leaders and legislators
Acts as key moderator and liaison for IEI Inbound referral management
Manages referral services and communication
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS
Bachelor's Degree
Management experience in optometric and ophthalmologic services
Strong Computer skills, work experience with Electronic Health Record
Requires maturity and ability to appropriately represent the Illinois Eye Institute to other internal and external customers
Requires a strong commitment to the development of staff and constant improvement of the department in service delivery
Requires the ability to handle a variety of tasks with speed, attention to detail and accuracy
Keen analytical and problem-solving ability
Commitment to delivering a "best-in-class" customer experience
Strong commitment to the development of staff and the constant improvement of department

Required to work evenings and Saturdays per business needs
