    Summary

    The Point of Sale Training Lead is responsible for the Learning and Development strategy for POS Sales Team Members. The primary responsibility is to create engaging and authentic learning experiences and content that enables high performance. As an Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing instructional materials, incorporating instructional design principles and technologies. Your expertise in curriculum development and instructional strategies will be crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality learning experiences. It is critical that you build strong relationships and foster collaboration with our product, marketing, sales, program management and other stakeholders.

    Responsibilities

    • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and enables performance excellence
    • Work with subject matter experts and identify target audiences training needs
    • State instructional end goals and create content that matches them
    • Visualize instructional graphics, learning strategies, content and journeys that contribute to enhanced learning and results.
    • Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts to ensure training is relevant and impactful.
    • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
    • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
    • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)
    • Decide on the criteria used to judge learners performance and develop assessment instruments and ensure stakeholders are informed
    • Maintain project documentation and course folders
    • Build strong working relationships with Point of Sale Business stakeholders.
    • Create learning strategies that establish trust and a clear organizational readiness for Point of Sale sales success.
    • Bush boundaries, try new things, be creative and drive results through strong learning strategies.
    • Regularly update business leaders on progress with both story and qualitative data.

    Qualifications

    • 10+ years in Learning and Development
    • Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology
    • Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
    • Lesson and curriculum planning skills
    • Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System
    • Visual design skills and ability to storyboard
    • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
    • BS or MA degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar
    • Strong strategic agility and project management skills
    • Experience teaching in workshop environment
