    Overall PurposeThis position drives the use of the information security tool sets including Vulnerability Management, IDS/IPS, Security posture assessment, proxy solutions, SEIM, PKI infrastructure and DLP.

    Leads the integration of new tools and applies expert level of knowledge for security tool enhancement, and both the security staff and external staff's use of security tools.

    Owns security tools posture.
    Essential FunctionsWorks with the operations staff to ensure the Security tools are integrated into other corporate infrastructure.

    Works with auditors to ensure the security tools are supporting all compliance effortsOutlines requirements for tools to meet needs that are not currently being met with the current toolsetsEnsure toolset inefficiencies on tools that you own have approval, funding, socialization, and project timelines for remediationTunes and maintains all tools owned by the Security team, and updates corresponding documentation.

    Ensures that tools assigned are running secure and stable codeAssists with compliance questionnaires as needed.
    Assists the Security team in security incident resolution and risk evaluations.
    Maximize value of tools already purchased.
    Contributes to the development of Early Warning security policy and procedures.

    Complies with all security policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of system and data confidentiality, integrity and availability is maintained.

    Primary on call in rotation with other security engineers to cover 24x7 responseSecondary in on call rotation for tools you are the Subject Matter Expert and OwnerWork with Junior Security Engineering staff to train on your SME and Owned tools and ensure cross training and growth from your peersMentor Junior Security Engineering staff and manage Security Interns.

    Support the company's commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

    Minimum QualificationsEducation or experience typically obtained through completion of a Bachelor's degree or 2 year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or Physical Science.

    Minimum 4 years of general IT experience.
    Minimum 3 years of IT security experienceProficiency in writing bat and shell scripts.

    Proficiency in approved scripting language to support automation and operational efficiencyExpert understanding of networking concepts including broadcast domains, routing, layer 2 and layer 3, .1q trunks, NIDS, NAT, PAT, and firewall administration.

    Expert of Windows Certificate Authority management and .1x authentication.

    Preferred QualificationsHands on with F5 Application Security ManagersProficiency in Perl scriptingCertifications:

    Unix administration backgroundAdditional related education and/or experience preferred Physical RequirementsWorking conditions consist of a normal office environment.

    Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours.

    Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.

    The pay scale for this position in In USD per year is:
    $160,000 - $185,000.This pay scale is subject to change and is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, nor a promise of any specific pay for any specific candidate, which is always dependent on legitimate factors considered at the time of job offer.
