As a Radiation Therapist at Novellis Health, you will have a crucial role in delivering top-notch radiation therapy treatments that positively impact the lives of our patients. Ready to be part of a collaborative environment working alongside skilled radiation oncologists and a supportive team of professionals?

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Administer precise radiation therapy treatments following the Radiation Oncologist's guidelines and safety protocols.
    • Prepare patients for treatment, including simulation, positioning, and use of specialized devices.
    • Calculate radiation dosages and operate complex radiotherapy equipment like linear accelerators.
    • Maintain detailed treatment records and ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system.
    • Educate patients and families on radiation therapy procedures, side effects, and management strategies.
    • Monitor patients during treatment and promptly report any concerns to the medical team.
    • Participate in quality assurance and safety checks within the department.

    Qualifications:

    • Associate's degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program.
    • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.
    • New York State licensure as a Radiation Therapist.
    • Strong technical skills with a focus on precision and accuracy.
    • Excellent patient-centered care and the ability to offer compassionate support.
    • Experience with advanced treatment techniques like IMRT, IGRT, or SBRT (preferred).
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
