    Highland Homes is currently accepting resumes for a Solutions Architect.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Architecture
      • Architect cloud-based solutions in response to complex technical challenges.
      • Define and communicate the technical strategy to align with business goals.
      • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure solutions meet current and future needs.
      • Ensure current and future applications have relevant documentation for supportability and extensibility.
      • Ensure that applications are built based on guidelines specified in the Well Architected Framework.
      • Design and build integration between business systems.
      • Document solutions, current and future to communicate the key architectural decisions.
      • Gather requirements and define specifications.
    • Application Development
      • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
      • Conduct architecture and code reviews on a regular basis.
      • Develop proof of concept applications to address business needs.
      • Provide technical direction to the development team.
      • Provide leadership in new and upcoming technologies.
      • Keep overall technical debt low.
    • Team Leadership
      • Build an environment that fosters collaboration and innovation.
      • Provide coaching and mentorship to team members.
      • Drive adoption of the Well Architected Framework
    • Security
      • Work with the larger IT team to build a security focused environment.
      • Work with the security team to ensure the environment is safe from external and internal threats.
    • Vendor Management
      • Work with partners and vendors to deliver solutions.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field preferred, or 7+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Strong understanding of agile development methodologies, DevOps practices, and their application to drive efficient software development and deployment.
    • Strong change management skills and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure-based data solutions, including data storage, processing, analytics, and security.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Exceptional attention to detail.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Strong communicator (oral and written), including the desire to ask questions and learn from others required.
    • High level of proficiency in MS Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
    • Strong organizational skills with a keen ability to prioritize and multi-task.
    • Ability to focus on short-term and long-term goals simultaneously.
    • Ability to adhere to and meet deadlines.
