Do you have the experience to analyze an enterprise's Cybersecurity posture, anticipate Cybersecurity requirements and help find right-sized solutions based on industry leading practices? If so, Equitable has an exciting opportunity with a focus on the following key responsibilities:

    • Lead and Manage the Equitable Security Operations Center Detection team
    • Primarily responsible for ensuring that security events and alerts are triaged and responded to with a high degree of efficiency, accuracy, and professionalism
    • Ensuring Compliance to SLA, process adherence and process development to achieve operational objectives
    • Developing and Facilitating assessment and training programs for SOC Analysts
    • Coordinating detection activities during cyber events
    • Provide direction and leadership to SOC Analysts
    • Providing guidance and direction concerning preparations necessary to aid in the prevention and early detection of cyber events, and monitoring and responding to cyber-attacks
    • Facilitate development, approvals and annual reviews of SOC triage playbooks and provide guidance and feedback
    • Coordinating Red Team/Blue Team, Wargames and other cybersecurity exercises
    • SOC Reporting and Metrics
    • Leading small to medium size Cybersecurity projects
    The base salary range for this position is $107,000-$139,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or related field of study, or equivalent experience
    • 5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity operational roles
    • 2+ years of experience in Managing SOC Analysts
    • 3+ years of hands-on technical Cybersecurity experience across multiple domains of Cybersecurity
    • 3+ years of experience with security operations within public cloud environments
    • 3+ years of experience with security operations within large corporate on-prem environments including co-located data centers
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Cybersecurity certification/accreditation including ECIH, GCIH, CCSP, CISSP, or other SANS certifications
    • Experience leading and managing Cyber Security teams in medium to large sized enterprises
    • Established experience in conducting forensic investigations on Windows, Mac, and Linux based operating systems
    • Proven understanding of security controls frameworks
    • Ability to adjust and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment
    • Experience monitoring servers, workstations and other devices such as network and host-based intrusion detection systems, web application firewalls, database security monitoring systems, firewalls/routers/switches, proxy servers, antivirus systems, file integrity monitoring tools and operating system logs
    • Demonstrated written, verbal, communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively and clearly to both technical and non-technical staff

    Information Security Management: Knowledge of the processes, tools and techniques of information security management; ability to deploy and monitor information security systems, while detecting, controlling and preventing violations of IT security.

    Results Orientation: Knowledge of the importance of meeting or exceeding established targets; ability to drive critical activities to completion.

    Staff and Career Development: Knowledge of available internal and external learning resources and ability to address learning, training, and career development needs of individuals, teams or organization.
