The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our Purchasing Team This role reports directly to the Purchasing Manager. As a Buyer, you'll play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing process by supporting material and supply flow. You will collaborate closely with various departments, including receiving, parts clerks, vendors, and other teams across the company, to ensure that the manufacturing floor is fully stocked and that orders are fulfilled on time.

This is a fully onsite position at our location in Lakeville, MN.

What You'll Do:

Manage the flow of materials and supplies to ensure the manufacturing team is fully supported.
Qualify vendor and identify and source suppliers for the goods needed by the organization. Evaluate bids to select the best options based on quality, cost, and delivery.
Create and track purchase orders, monitor order status and vendor quality, and ensure timely deliveries.
Collaborate with receiving and parts clerks to verify material accuracy upon arrival.
Proactively manage inventory levels to maintain optimal stock without overordering.
Build strong relationships with vendors and stay informed on order status to ensure timely fulfillment.
Work closely with teammates across the company to resolve any supply chain or inventory issues.

What We're Looking For:

Attention to Detail: Highly organized with a keen eye for accuracy. Strong analytical skills and a desire to learn new techniques and industry trends.
Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with vendors, customers, and internal teams. Fluency in English is required.
Team Player: Able to collaborate effectively across departments while also working independently to solve problems.
Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to learn quickly.
Tech-Savvy: Proficient in MS Office and Outlook, with experience in inventory management software (Epicor or M1 experience a plus).
Customer-Focused: Strong customer service skills with a passion for helping clients find the right solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous buying experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
Familiarity with purchase orders and receiving processes.
