    Description

    Program Navigator is responsible for the coordination and support of general, day-to-day administrative, operational and clerical tasks related to the adult education program. The adult education program is designed to identify, enroll, retain, and provide student support services that will enable participants to progress through their chosen learning program.

    Requirements

    Operations Management

    • Coordinates front desk operations and assists with Student Services as needed.
    • Ensures a friendly, welcoming environment greets all students, family, staff, and other visitors.
    • Takes calls, greets walk-ins and ensures current and prospective students receive needed information and direction quickly and efficiently.
    • Assistance with sending / referring students and community members to a specific case manager or program within YWCA, based on need.
    • Processes and log payments for services including monitoring internet payments.
    • Ensures student is notified of class placement, and enters the information into LACES (data management system).
    • Guides students and families with intake and payment processes.
    • Ensures website is up to date on enrollment information.
    • Creates and distributes class lists to teachers.
    • Maintains strict student confidentiality at all times.
    Administrative and Programmatic Support
    • Collaborates with instructional coordinator on class placements.
    • Collaborate with the case management team to organize workshops and other events.
    • Handle routine tasks pertaining to the successful execution of the Education and Case Management programs.
    • Works closely with the front desk coordinator as mutual back up for processing calls and payments.
    • Provides professional interpretation and translation services as needed.
    • Assists in the preparation of reports, presentations, or various letters.
    • Participates in YWCA functions and community events as needed and requested by the Director.
    • Attends trainings/staff meetings related to job responsibilities as approved by Director.

    Education/Experience:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required + 2 years of related experience.
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
    • IT skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and use of various databases. Knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
    • Experience working with adult learners.
    • Demonstrate experience working with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
    • Excellent organizational skills, strong interpersonal and effective.
    • Experience in conflict resolution and consensus building.
    • Ability to multi-task.
    • Ability to communicate and maintain systematic, coherent expectations with all constituents.
