We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced midwife to join our highly successful diabetes in pregnancy team.

This role involves engaging with women who have a new diagnosis of diabetes and supporting them to achieve a healthy pregnancy in collaboration with their LMC.

Kindness, empathy and the ability to work closely in partnership with women is essential.

This is a senior midwife position that requires a high level of professional autonomy, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

The role includes working one to one with women and co-ordinating our busy diabetes in pregnancy clinics.
This role is based across both North Shore and Waitakere Hospitals.


The successful candidate will be:
A qualified, experienced midwife with a current NZ midwifery practicing certificateHave postgraduate education in diabetes in pregnancy or other relevant field or be willing to undertake this if successful in their applicationA resourceful health practitioner who is able to manage their own workload and make sound clinical decisionsSomeone who embodies our values:
