    Location: Madera, CA

    Job Type: Full-Time (40+ Hours/Week)

    Department: Behavioral Health Services

    The County of Madera is listing a new job opportunity to work as a Supervisor in the Mental Health field.

    • Supervise, coordinate, and review staff activities in providing Mental Health services
    • Provide clinical supervision for prelicensed clinicians

    Supervision Exercised

    Direct supervision over professional, technical, and clerical staff.

    Examples of Duties

    • Coordinate staff tasks in Mental Health operations
    • Prepare reports and maintain records
    • Assist in budget development

    Employment Standards / Minimum Qualifications

    Knowledge of:

    • Clinical and casework services, counseling, and treatment principles
    • Supervision, training, and performance evaluation principles
    • Social aspects and characteristics of mental disturbances
    • Mental health education principles and substance abuse theories
    • Therapeutic approaches for individuals with mental problems

    Skill to:

    • Operate a motor vehicle safely

    Ability to:

    • Supervise, train, and evaluate staff
    • Ensure policy adherence and budget control
    • Perform counseling and treatment planning
    • Maintain client confidentiality
    • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing

    Education and Experience:

    Experience required: Two years in clinical mental health

    Training: Master's Degree in related field

    License or Certification: Current professional license in the mental health field

    Additional Requirements: Valid Driver's License

    Special Requirements:

    Physical skills and work environment knowledge
