    divh2Senior Underwriter/h2pBerkley Professional Liability is seeking a Senior Underwriter.

    This role can be located in Chicago, Washington DC, Atlanta, or Denver./ppIn this role you will analyze and underwrite existing and prospective private company accounts seeking Directors and Officers, Employment Practices, and Fiduciary Liability insurance coverage.

    Develop relationships with key brokers to increase the submission flow and quality of new business prospects.

    /ppResponsibilities include:

    /pulliPrepare thorough underwriting workups that contain a detailed financial analysis, claims/legal history, and a review of significant recent corporate events for each new business and renewal account./liliCommunicate with brokers during the renewal process to ascertain the clients renewal expectations and on new business accounts to find the best opportunity for successfully winning the business./liliParticipate in client meetings designed to address each accounts risk factors and mitigation approach./liliWork with senior managers to rate and price new/renewal accounts and draft all quote/binder letters and issue the policy./liliResponsible for maintaining the underwriting files on all in-force and lost/declined accounts.

    /li/ulpQualifications include:

    /pulliBachelors degree required./lili5 10 years of private company management liability (DO, EPL, FLI and Crime) underwriting experience/liliComputer proficiency/liliStrong communication and organization skills/liliStrong technical and marketing expertise/liliOrganization maintain thorough and orderly underwriting files that present an accurate representation of a deal that has been bound or a lost/declined opportunity that follows the internal underwriting guidelines and state specific requirements./liliFinancial literacy analyze income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement in order to identify risk factors.

    Base salary range:
    $100,000 - $200,000. Eligible to participate in annual discretionary bonus
