    Senior Software Engineer(

    Job Type:

    Full-time, HybridETAP, a member of Schneider Electrical Energy Management Software Division, is seeking a senior power system software engineer with strong expertise in C++ / C# development and power system analysis, modeling, and simulation.

    The role bridges power engineering knowledge with software.

    If you are ready to be an industry leader in electrical system simulation software development in a multinational company that influences how engineers all over the world perform analysis, then this position is for you.
    Responsibilities and duties Formulate and develop a large-scale nonlinear optimization problem in C++.

    Integrate state estimation engines with EMS / SCADA systems. Implement bad data detection and identification techniques. Understand sensitivity analysis, observability, and measurement placement. Experience software architecture patterns, multi-threading or parallel computing techniques, object-oriented design, and use of the Standard Template Library (STL).

    Collaborate with management, departments, and customers to identify end-user requirements and specifications.
    Qualifications Electrical Engineering (Power Systems), or Computer Science with a strong understanding of power system fundamentals.

    Proficiency in C++ and/or C# and ability to work with large, complex codebases. Ability to follow various industrial standards and write specifications. Strong theoretical knowledge of power system modeling, state estimation theory, and nonlinear optimization. Highly motivated, self-managed, detail-oriented and well organized.

    Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with both engineers and software developers.
    EducationPHD or master's degree in computer science or electrical engineering with a minimum of 3+ years of programming experience will be considered.

    Salary range - 113, $180,500 Annual base pay
    This pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation that the position offers, and final compensation can vary within the range depending on work location, job experience, skills, and relevant educational attainment and/or training.*ETAP requires all successful applicants to undergo and pass a comprehensive background check before they start employment.

    Background checks will be conducted in accordance with local laws and may, subject to those laws, include proof of educational attainment, employment history verification, proof of work authorization, criminal records, identity verification, credit check.
