For nearly 85 years, we've designed, built and maintained amphibious ships, destroyers, and cutters for the U.Navy surface combatants, we're simultaneously building four classes of ships and have pioneered the development and production of technologically advanced, highly capable ships for the surface Navy fleet for decades.
Performs routine naval architecture work requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of design and/or analyses of ship hull, foundation, superstructure, arrangements and hull form characteristics tasks.
As directed, applies selected techniques and procedures to assignments involving ship design and ship performance analyses.Uses prescribed methods to perform specific and limited portions of broader systems design, performance analyze, or hull form characteristic assignments of more experienced naval architects.
However, this does not exclude the requirement of performing related duties under normal conditions, and other duties directed by supervision.
2 Years with Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architect or Ocean Engineer within industry; Demonstrated strong technical communication capabilities is preferred for early-stage ship design activities.
