- Develop comprehensive overhaul or repair implementation plans.
- Track project budget, estimate costs, and negotiate contract changes as necessary.
- Identify potential problems early and recommend/implement corrective actions.
- Provide oversight to Ship Superintendents and collaborate with production teams.
- Interpret specifications and contract requirements, ensuring compliance.
- Monitor project progress and report any issues affecting cost or schedule performance.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including senior management, customers, and subcontractors.
- Facilitate daily production meetings to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
- Manage required reports and documentation submissions for each contract.
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience in shipyard or ship program/project management.
- Proficiency in Excel, Project (and/or Primavera), PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word.
- Familiarity with NAVSEA Standard Item requirements.
- Understanding of cost and schedule performance metrics.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
