    Job DescriptionPARALEGAL WITH EXTENSIVE DEFENSE LITIGATION EXPERIENCE-DIRECT HIRE
    Our client, a highly respected national law firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with Defense experience

    The paralegal needs to have a minimum of three (3) years insurance defense litigation experience.

    This is a full-time permanent position and is on-site.

    Responsibilities for the Paralegal
    • Assists attorneys in all phases of the litigation discovery process; helping attorneys prepare for hearings, arbitrations, and trials. Performs bates numbering and redacting, and e-files documents with various courts.
    • Provides direct support to attorneys, and will be asked to perform the following tasks:
    • Prepare pleadings and discovery for trial;
    • coordinate the production of third party records;
    • Prepare subpoenas in compliance with state and federal regulations;
    • Trial preparation and management of trial exhibits; analyze, review and organize privileged documents/data for document production and discovery responses;
    • Prepare wage and hour reports; assist with preparation of federal and state administration filings;
    • Draft investigative reports; conduct legal research using Westlaw, BNA, and other research tools, and additional duties as assigned.
    Qualifications:
    • The ideal candidate must have a bachelor's degree and/or a paralegal certificate.
    • Candidate will have at least three to five years of litigation paralegal experience.
    • Qualified candidate should have excellent interpersonal/communication skills, including strong writing skills, ability to multi-task and work within deadlines, keen knowledge of e-discovery issues and familiarity with state court/agency regulations.
    • The litigation paralegal must also be proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and other office tools, including e-discovery software and document management platforms. Knowledge of the firm's document management program, iManage / FileSite, is a plus.
