    Job Summary


    Enters all practice/provider charges on a daily basis which includes any manual charge entry and/or monitoring of physician ordered charges and ensures that all practice revenue is captured and reconciled.

    Essential Functions


    • Completes manual charge entry or ability to accurately perform CPOE processes in timely manner.
    • Manages resolution of all claim edits including: Charge Review, TES, Claim Edits, and others as assigned.
    • Manages denials and responds to denial inquiries from billing office(s) in a timely manner.
    • Monitors payor trends and patterns.
    • Performs appropriate follow-up for missing data elements and proper reconciliation.
    • Answers basic account questions in revenue management system and assists with account resolution.
    • Backs up registration and other clerical teammates as needed.
    Physical Requirements

    Work requires sitting for the majority of the work day, minimal standing and walking. This position requires telephone and computer use the majority of the day. Must be able to bend and lift up to 10 lbs.

    Education, Experience and Certifications

    High School Diploma or GED required. Insurance follow up and/or charge entry experience preferred. Computer experience preferred. Must have some familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding. Previous experience utilizing patient medical records and billing software and knowledge of claim scrubbing software preferred.
