    Description


    North Oaks, a premier senior living community located in Pikesville, MD is seeking a Full-Time customer-focused Floor Technician who has a friendly demeanor and takes pride in their work.

    Could this be you? This position offers the great hours of 7am-3:30pm with rotating weekends and holidaysThe Floor Technician is responsible for floor care and some trash removal.

    May also be responsible for set-ups and moving furniture.


    Essential Duties:
    1. Pick up and remove major trash from the Community.2. Maintain cleanliness of trash bins and trash rooms.3. Mop and burnish hard floors within the community4. Clean carpets when necessary.5. Set up and break down for functions daily.


    Other Duties:
    Maintain all equipment and supplies in proper condition.
    Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
    Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
    Observes all safety rules and regulations.
    HIPAA Compliance - follows written policies and procedures to ensure confidentiality of protected health information.
    OIG Compliance - follows written policies and procedures to comply with the federal and state laws and regulations.


    Qualifications:
    1. Some floor care experience; specifically stripping and waxing, and shampooing carpets. 2. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.3. Compliance with North Oaks Influenza Policy is required for this position for all North Oaks employees. Please refer to the policy for details. All North Oaks employees may access the North Oaks policy via their Human Resources representative or Executive Director.
    Physical Requirements/Working ConditionsModerate to heavy physical effort 95% of the workday. Must be able to stand and walk long distances up to 8 hours per day. Must be able to stoop and work from a kneeling position, perform repetitive bending, reaching and stretching. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Independently. Must be able to push and/or pull wheeled carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. Over tiled and carpeted surfaces over long distances.

    Must be able to operate a vacuum, work in confined spaces around furniture and breakable objects, and have constant contact with residents.

    May be exposed to communicable diseases including influenza, HIV and Hepatitis. May be exposed to unpleasant odors, high heat levels, and institutional cleaning chemicals.
